Security in Zamboanga...hmmm...As far as I know, there are a lot of people who are not from Zamboanga are afraid to visit Zamboanga, because before they know that Zamboanga is known as the Latin City, but now it is well know as the land where there are many bombs. That is why there are many people who are afraid in going to Zamboanga, but for me I dont really find Zamboanga a very chaotic place. I've been living here in Zamboanga for 12years, and there is only one circumstance that feared me. It is when the time when the Marines tried to chase off the MILF in Cabatangan, and since I lived in San Roque my family, aunts, cousins and every family in San Roque are very terrified. After that nothing more that is scaring happened, but except for the other places in Zamboanga like Basila, Jolo and more.
Everytime I would go to manila, my relatives would always ask me, how is Zamboanga going? is it still safe to live in Zamboanga? but honestly I really dont find the whole Zamboanga City a very chaotic place, maybe in some places in Zamboanga, but not in the whole Zamboanga City.
When it comes to its security, I can say that they really give enough ettention when it comes to Zamboanga's security.
I remembered when I was in fourth year when kidnappings are very extensive, the police immediately made an act regarding the issue. They instantly got informations regarding the descripition of the car being used in kidnapping(white van), the strategy and more, this is to alert us also. I think it only last for three months,but I'm not sure if they were able to catch the kidnappers.
I hope sooner or later, people will start to appreciate Zamboanga's real beauty or Zamboanga's positive side, aside from its negative sides.
It's already settled in their minds that Zamboanga is a 'very' chaotic place.

people merely perceive the deleterious side... they do not perceive the brighter side of our city.
But I hope one day, they would learn to appreciate the 'real' beauty of our home

yah.i almost forgot about kidnapping. That's a good topic about the security in zambo. I agree that the police immediately act about the issue but why are there still so many victims of kidnapping ?
ReplyDeletei remember that incident...we were all like afraid with every van we can see even it's not anymore the 'white van' they identified as the vehicle of the kidnappers...
